Role Overview
The QA/QC Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring execution quality across project sites,
building internal capability, and strengthening quality systems. This is a high-impact, site-driven
role with a strong emphasis on inspections, training, and process standardization.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Quality Control (Primary Focus)
● Visit active project sites regularly; inspect surface preparation, primer application, membrane
installation, and curing stages against approved method statements.
● Identify and document deviations (NCRs) with photos; ensure corrective action is completed
before the next stage proceeds.
● Review incoming materials at site (batch numbers, shelf life, storage conditions) and
approve/reject against specifications.● Maintain quality logs: daily inspection records, material test certificates, stage-wise sign-off
sheets etc.
● Monitoring quality periodical check and documentation of material consumption.
● Monitoring each project to meet the quality stands as per the Quality plan.
Training & Capability Building
● Train site engineers on inspection checkpoints: What to check, When to check,
Acceptance/rejection criteria etc.
● Develop a visual photo library/presentation of good vs. poor workmanship for training
references
● Conduct monthly/ weekly workshops covering Common defects, Rework prevention,
Safe handling of construction chemicals, application training for new
employees/Technician/workers
● Create easy-to-follow SOPs with step-by-step instructions for work methodology and
work process like Surface preparation, material mixing, product application, quality
checks etc.
● Drive continuous quality improvement initiatives across projects
Quality Systems & Documentation
● Develop project-specific Quality Control Plans (QCP), Inspection & Test Plans (ITP)
● Prepare work method statements aligned with Manufacturer guidelines and relevant
quality standards and SOP’s
● Coordinate with third-party labs for testing product parameters not limited to Adhesion /
pull-off, product physical properties, tensile strength, elongation etc.
● Prepare weekly quality reports like Site-wise status, Open/closed NCRs, Closure
timelines, preventative action plan etc.
● Interface with clients, PMCs, and consultants for audits, reviews, and submissions
meeting the project requirements
Professional Requirements
● B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering
● 4–6 years of QA/QC experience in construction or infrastructure
● Strong hands-on experience in:
○ Site inspections & audits○ Material testing
○ NCR management
● Working knowledge of:
○ IS codes
○ International standard (ASTM / EN / BS/ DIN)
● Ability to train, mentor, and guide site execution teams to ensure consistent quality
delivery across all projects.
● Willingness to travel extensively across project locations
● Good to have experience in waterproofing / coatings / construction chemicals
● Familiarity with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
● Exposure to working with PMCs, architects, or institutional clients
● Proficiency in MS Office and documentation/reporting tools
