Job Title: Process & QA Governance Specialist
Experience: 5+ Years (in QA Governance)
Location: WFO (Indore)
Job Summary:
We are looking for a Process & QA Governance Specialist who has previously worked as a QA Lead or QA Manager and has strong expertise in process implementation and governance.
The role will be responsible for defining, implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving organizational QA and SDLC processes, with a focus on compliance, governance, and audit readiness. The specialist will collaborate with QA, Engineering, Product, and Management teams to ensure processes are followed, quality standards are met, and risks are proactively identified and mitigated.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Process Implementation & Improvement
- Define, document, and implement QA and SDLC-related processes including testing, release management, defect management, and change management.
- Ensure processes align with organizational goals, quality standards, and industry best practices.
- Identify process gaps and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Standardize templates, SOPs, checklists, and guidelines to ensure consistency across projects.
2. QA Compliance & Governance
- Establish and monitor QA compliance frameworks.
- Ensure adherence to defined testing standards, quality gates, and sign-off criteria.
- Track compliance across teams and projects.
- Define and enforce governance models for:
- Test planning & execution
- Defect management
- Release readiness
- Risk identification & mitigation
3. Audits & Reporting
- Conduct process audits and compliance reviews.
- Identify non-compliance issues and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Prepare and present compliance reports, dashboards, and metrics to stakeholders.
- Support external audits as needed.
4. Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership
- Partner with QA leads, developers, product owners, and project managers to ensure smooth process adoption and adherence.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for process, governance, and compliance guidance.
- Lead process onboarding sessions and support teams in understanding QA standards and best practices.
- Facilitate retrospectives and workshops to evaluate process effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
- Act as a bridge between QA, Product, and Engineering teams to ensure quality initiatives align with organizational goals.
5. Metrics & Quality Measurement
- Define and track quality and process KPIs (e.g., defect leakage, test coverage, compliance rate).
- Analyze trends and recommend process and quality improvement actions.
- Ensure data-driven decision-making for QA initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Must-Have:
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and QA processes
- Proven experience in QA process implementation, governance, and audits
- Knowledge of QA standards, best practices, and metrics
- Hands-on experience with process documentation, compliance tracking, and audit execution
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong communication skills
Good to Have:
- Experience in Agile / Scrum / SAFe environments
- Exposure to ISTQB, ISO, CMMI, or similar quality frameworks
- Experience in risk management and mitigation planning
- Familiarity with QA tools such as JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in QA, Process Management, Governance, or Compliance roles
- Experience as QA Lead or QA Manager preferred
