Key responsibilities
- Oversee the entire quality assurance process for internal production as well as production from external contract manufacturing vendors
- Collaborate closely with design, production, and sourcing teams to ensure that quality standards are met at every stage of the garment production process
- Develop and implement quality control procedures and guidelines to ensure consistency and accuracy in garment construction
- Conduct regular quality audits and inspections as per the quality standards(AQL) at various stages of production, including fabric inspection, pattern making, cutting, sewing, and finishing
- Work closely with vendors to address any quality issues or concerns, providing guidance and support to improve processes and standards
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of garment construction techniques, materials, and production methods
- Train and mentor quality assurance team members, providing guidance on quality control procedures and best practices
- Generate weekly quality report and Monthly quality reports
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Textile Engineering, Apparel Merchandising, or a related field
- Proven experience of 5+ years in quality assurance or quality control roles within the apparel industry, with a focus on women's ethnic wear preferred
- Strong understanding of garment construction techniques, pattern making, and fit evaluation
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify quality issues and discrepancies
- Solid knowledge of quality control procedures, standards, and best practices
- Experience working with external manufacturing vendors and managing relationships effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Certification in quality management or garment inspection is a plus
