About The Role
We are looking for a highly driven QA Lead with strong expertise in functional testing, test automation using Playwright (JavaScript), and proven experience in leading QA teams across multiple projects. This role will play a critical part in defining test strategy, building scalable automation frameworks, and ensuring high product quality across releases. The ideal candidate combines hands-on technical depth with strong leadership, planning, and stakeholder management skills.
The QA Lead will be responsible for overseeing the quality assurance processes, mentoring team members, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver defect-free products. You will be instrumental in shaping the testing landscape at CES, driving best practices, and continuously improving quality standards to meet organizational goals.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a combination of technical expertise and leadership experience, including:
- 3+ years of experience leading QA teams across multiple projects, demonstrating strong team management skills.
- 5–7 years of comprehensive experience in functional testing, including manual and automated testing methodologies.
- Proficiency in API testing and database testing to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks, particularly using Playwright and JavaScript, for at least 2–3 years.
- Proven ability to define test strategies, QA roadmaps, and quality metrics aligned with project and organizational goals.
- Strong skills in risk identification, mitigation planning, and root cause analysis to troubleshoot complex issues effectively.
- Experience with test management tools such as JIRA, TestRail, ALM, or similar platforms.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
- Lead and mentor QA teams across multiple projects, ensuring adherence to quality standards and best practices.
- Define and implement comprehensive test strategies, testing roadmaps, and establish clear quality metrics to monitor progress.
- Identify potential risks early in the development lifecycle, create mitigation plans, and oversee their execution.
- Drive continuous process improvements within the QA function, promoting a culture of quality and innovation.
- Set individual goals and KRAs for team members, monitor performance, and facilitate professional development.
Hands-On Testing & Automation
- Act as an individual contributor when required, particularly for complex testing scenarios.
- Own functional, API, database, and regression testing activities to ensure comprehensive coverage.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Playwright and JavaScript.
- Ensure automation coverage is sufficient for functional and regression test suites to support rapid releases.
- Perform deep root cause analysis and troubleshooting of defects to facilitate quick resolution and prevent recurrence.
Project & Team Management
- Support project initiation, planning, and effort estimation to align testing activities with project timelines.
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, and team building efforts to strengthen the QA department.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Development, and DevOps teams to ensure quality delivery and seamless integration of testing processes.
