Job Summary / About the RoleARSoft Consulting is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented QA Engineer Intern to join our Quality Assurance team. This internship offers an excellent opportunity for recent graduates and aspiring software testers to gain practical experience in both manual and automation testing within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will work alongside experienced QA professionals and developers, assisting in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software applications. This role is ideal for individuals looking to build a strong foundation in software testing and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in planning, designing, and executing manual test cases based on functional requirements.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, and sanity testing.
- Identify, document, track, and verify software defects using defect management tools.
- Support the development and maintenance of automation test scripts under the guidance of senior QA engineers.
- Participate in requirement analysis and test planning activities.
- Execute test cases and accurately report test results.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project teams to resolve software defects.
- Assist in API testing using tools such as Postman.
- Contribute to improving testing processes, documentation, and quality standards.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Maintain clear and organised test documentation.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 0–1 years of experience in software testing (internships, academic projects, or personal projects are welcome).
- Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Basic knowledge of software testing methodologies and testing principles.
- Familiarity with manual testing concepts and defect life cycle.
- Basic understanding of automation testing concepts.
- Exposure to Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress is advantageous.
- Basic understanding of SQL and relational databases.
- Familiarity with API testing using Postman is desirable.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and testing tools.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)- Knowledge of Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Exposure to Git version control.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Understanding of CI/CD concepts.
- Basic knowledge of JIRA or similar defect tracking tools.
