Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced
QA Engineer (Automation + Manual) with a strong balance of
automation and manual testing expertise. This role focuses on ensuring the quality, stability, and performance of our SaaS-based HRMS platform. The ideal candidate will take ownership of QA activities, build reliable automation solutions, and actively collaborate with development and product teams in an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using Java, Selenium WebDriver, and/or Playwright.
- Actively perform manual testing including functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.
- Create and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for web-based applications.
- Identify, log, and track defects; work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.
- Integrate automation tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
- Perform cross-browser and cross-platform testing using BrowserStack or similar tools.
- Conduct API testing using Postman, RestAssured, or equivalent tools.
- Support performance and load testing activities using JMeter or similar tools (good to have).
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Maintain QA documentation, test reports, and quality metrics.
- Mentor junior QA team members and promote QA best practices.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of overall experience in Software Quality Assurance.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in automation testing using Selenium with Java.
- Strong manual testing experience with a clear understanding of QA fundamentals.
- Proficiency in Java with good knowledge of OOP concepts.
- Experience with testing frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, and Cucumber (BDD).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, Docker).
- Hands-on experience in API testing.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
