Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site QA Engineer role located in Trivandrum. The QA Engineer will be responsible for executing testing procedures, developing comprehensive test cases, and ensuring software functionality and quality. Key tasks include performing manual testing, identifying defects, and ensuring that products meet outlined requirements and provide optimal user experiences. The QA Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Understand project requirements, specifications, and user stories for effective test planning.
- Design, develop, and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, UI, and usability testing.
- Identify, document, track, and report software defects using bug-tracking tools.
- Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and product teams to resolve issues efficiently.
- Validate bug fixes and ensure product quality before release.
- Participate in requirement reviews, sprint planning, and QA discussions.
- Maintain test documentation and prepare testing reports.
- Ensure adherence to QA processes, standards, and best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in software testing / quality assurance.
- Good understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and defect life cycle.
- Experience in manual testing of web and/or mobile applications.
- Familiarity with bug tracking and project management tools such as Jira, Trello, or similar tools.
- Basic understanding of API testing and database validation is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Basic knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
