About The Role
We’re seeking a highly skilled Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our team and contribute to scaling and enhancing the quality of our high-impact media and streaming platforms. This role is perfect for an individual who enjoys designing automation frameworks from scratch, refining QA processes, and collaborating closely with engineering teams in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and quality of our media workflows, including playback, ads, content delivery, and user flows. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining robust automation solutions, driving QA best practices, and mentoring junior team members to foster a quality-first mindset across the organization.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess over five years of experience in QA Automation or SDET roles, with a strong background in building and maintaining automation frameworks. Proven expertise with tools such as Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, or similar is essential. Additionally, candidates should have extensive experience in API testing, including RESTful services and authentication mechanisms. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, particularly with tools like GitHub Actions or Jenkins, is required. A solid understanding of test architecture, best practices, and experience working within monorepo environments will be advantageous. Strong communication skills, ownership mentality, and the ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams are crucial for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain comprehensive test automation frameworks utilizing tools such as Cypress, Playwright, or similar technologies.
- Lead the development and implementation of QA strategies and best practices across multiple teams to ensure high-quality releases.
- Expand and improve test coverage for web applications and API layers, ensuring robust validation of functionalities and workflows.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to understand requirements and ensure testing aligns with release goals.
- Implement, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to facilitate automated testing and continuous integration processes.
- Document testing procedures, results, and QA processes to promote transparency and knowledge sharing.
- Mentor junior QA engineers, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the team.
- Test and validate complex media and streaming workflows, including playback, ad insertion, content delivery, and user interactions.
