About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in scaling and enhancing the quality assurance processes across high-impact media and streaming platforms. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks from scratch, ensuring robust test coverage and seamless integration with our development pipelines. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with engineering and product teams in a fast-paced environment, driving quality standards and best practices to ensure the delivery of exceptional user experiences. Your expertise will directly influence the stability, performance, and reliability of our streaming services, including playback, ads, content delivery, and user flows.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess over five years of experience in QA Automation or SDET roles, with a proven track record of building automation frameworks from the ground up. You should have strong proficiency with automation tools such as Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, or similar, and be well-versed in API testing, including RESTful services and authentication mechanisms. Experience with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent is essential, along with a solid understanding of test architecture, best practices, and test strategy development. Familiarity with monorepo environments and a strong ownership mindset are highly valued. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams are critical for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain robust test automation frameworks utilizing tools such as Cypress, Playwright, or similar technologies.
- Drive QA strategy and promote best practices across engineering and product teams.
- Own and enhance test coverage for web and API layers, ensuring comprehensive validation of media streaming workflows.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to ensure high-quality releases and timely delivery of features.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate testing processes, facilitating continuous integration and deployment.
- Contribute to documentation, test plans, and QA processes to standardize and improve quality assurance practices.
- Mentor junior QA engineers, fostering a quality-first mindset and supporting team growth.
- Test and validate complex media workflows, including playback, ad insertion, content delivery, and user interactions across various platforms such as Connected TVs, mobile devices, and smart TVs.
