Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented QA Engineer with 2–5 years of hands-on experience in software testing. The ideal candidate should have strong functional testing expertise along with exposure to automation and API testing. You will work closely with development, product, and DevOps teams to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our digital platforms and applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, UAT, and performance testing.
- Identify, document, track, and verify defects using tools like Jira or similar.
- Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand requirements and provide quality inputs.
- Conduct root cause analysis and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Contribute to automation efforts by developing and maintaining test scripts.
- Execute API testing using tools such as Postman or similar.
- Validate data using SQL queries where required.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Continuously improve QA processes, test coverage, and best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in software quality assurance.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and SDLC.
- Solid knowledge of different testing types (black-box, white-box, smoke, sanity, regression, etc.).
- Exposure to Mobile app testing.
- Hands-on experience with test management and bug tracking tools (Jira, TestRail, etc.).
- Experience in writing and executing SQL queries for data validation.
- Exposure to automation testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or similar.
- Experience in API testing using tools like Postman or similar.
- Good analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Working knowledge of programming/scripting languages such as JavaScript or Python.
- Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- Basic knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, etc.).
- Experience working in EdTech or LMS platforms is a plus.
