About The Role
Alight Consultants is hiring a
QA Engineer with
1–3 years of experience to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of software applications. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in both
Manual Testing and Automation Testing and be capable of delivering quality products within project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform Manual Testing and Automation Testing for web and/or mobile applications.
- Understand business requirements and create detailed test scenarios, test cases, and test plans.
- Execute functional, regression, integration, smoke, system, and UAT testing.
- Develop, execute, and maintain automation test scripts for repetitive test cases.
- Identify, document, track, and verify defects using defect management tools.
- Perform API testing and validate application workflows.
- Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to resolve issues efficiently.
- Conduct cross-browser and cross-platform testing.
- Prepare testing reports and maintain QA documentation.
- Participate in release validation and post-deployment testing activities.
- Ensure timely delivery of testing milestones and maintain quality standards.
Required Skills
- 1–3 years of experience in Software Testing / Quality Assurance.
- Strong experience in Manual Testing and Automation Testing.
- Good understanding of SDLC and STLC.
- Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.
- Hands-on experience in API testing (Postman preferred).
- Familiarity with JIRA or similar bug-tracking tools.
- Basic knowledge of SQL/database testing.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum methodology is preferred.
