About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Automation Test Engineer to join Coforge’s dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining automated testing solutions that ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, project managers, and client stakeholders, to understand testing requirements and implement robust automation frameworks. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in Python, Selenium, and web application testing, along with excellent analytical and debugging skills. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects, lead testing initiatives, and support continuous improvement in our software development lifecycle.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 10+ years of experience in software testing and automation. Proven expertise in developing automated test scripts using Python and Selenium is essential. Candidates should have a strong understanding of web technologies, including Typescript and JavaScript, and experience with modern testing frameworks like Playwright. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems such as Git, and Agile/Scrum methodologies is required. A solid grasp of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices is necessary to succeed in this role. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, leadership ability, and experience in guiding or mentoring team members.
Responsibilities
- Develop Automated Unit Test and Support Solutions to ensure software quality and performance.
- Design and review technical documentation, including test plans, test cases, and effort estimations based on requirement analysis.
- Provide support and on-the-job training to less experienced team members, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Interact with clients and onsite counterparts to understand requirements and ensure testing aligns with project goals.
- Lead the development and execution of automated test suites to validate functionality, performance, and scalability of applications.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues identified through automated testing, providing detailed defect reports for resolution.
- Maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks using Python, Selenium, and Playwright.
- Document test strategies, results, and defect reports clearly and comprehensively for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate automated testing within CI/CD pipelines, ensuring continuous quality checks.
- Drive quality-centric methodologies in the SDLC, aiming to identify and resolve defects at the earliest stages.
- Participate actively in Agile/Scrum planning sessions, contributing to sprint planning and retrospectives.
- Mentor team members to enhance their automation skills and promote best practices in testing.
