About The Role
We are seeking a meticulous and proactive QA Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, functionality, and reliability of our web and mobile applications. You will collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to identify issues, design comprehensive test plans, and execute testing processes. Your efforts will directly contribute to delivering a robust, user-friendly product that meets high standards of quality in a fast-paced SaaS environment. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a passion for quality assurance.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess a minimum of 2+ years of experience in manual testing of web and mobile applications. A solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing life cycle (STLC) is essential. Candidates should have hands-on experience in designing and executing test cases, test scenarios, and test plans, along with bug tracking and reporting. Familiarity with different testing types such as functional, regression, integration, smoke, and sanity testing is required. Knowledge of cross-browser and responsive testing, along with basic understanding of Android/iOS testing, is also important. Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are critical attributes for this role.
Responsibilities
As a QA Engineer at Colabtools, your primary responsibilities will include understanding product requirements and participating in SDLC and STLC processes. You will design and execute detailed test scenarios, test cases, and test plans to ensure comprehensive coverage of features. Performing various testing methodologies such as functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, and system testing will be core to your role. You will collaborate with product managers to support user acceptance testing (UAT) cycles, ensuring that the product aligns with client expectations. Identifying, logging, and tracking bugs with clear, concise documentation is essential for effective communication with development teams. Additionally, you will perform cross-browser and responsive testing to ensure compatibility across different devices and browsers, validating UI/UX consistency. Working closely with developers, you will facilitate quick bug resolution and retesting to maintain high-quality standards throughout the development lifecycle.
