Key Responsibilities
Mobile App Testing (Android & iOS) CORE
Perform manual testing of the SD Live app across Android and iOS builds.
Validate new features, bug fixes, and UI updates before every release.
Test live match data, score updates, navigation flows, push notifications, and real-time user interactions.
Ensure consistent behavior across devices, OS versions, and screen sizes.
Also test the Sportsdunia website (responsive layout, cross-browser checks) as needed, with the mobile app as the primary focus.
API Testing - CORE
Test REST/GraphQL APIs powering live scores, match data, and notifications for correctness, response structure, and error handling.
Validate API behavior under real-world conditions — live match updates, concurrent requests, edge-case payloads.
Use Postman (or similar) to build and maintain reusable API test collections.
Work with backend developers to catch data inconsistencies before they reach the app.
Test Case Design & Bug Tracking - CORE
Create and maintain structured test cases and scenarios for app, API, and web coverage.
Build and update regression checklists for every release.
Identify edge cases, especially around live/real-time data.
Log clear, reproducible bug reports and follow them through to verified fixes.
Performance & Load Testing - GOOD TO HAVE
Help test how the app and APIs hold up during high-traffic match scenarios and traffic
spikes.
Run basic load/stress tests against key API endpoints (tools such as JMeter, k6, or Locust).
Monitor app stability and crash reports using tools such as Firebase Crashlytics.
Required Skills & Qualifications
1–3 years of experience in software testing (mobile apps or web platforms).
Strong hands-on experience with manual testing methodologies.
Working knowledge of API testing — REST fundamentals, status codes, request/response validation.
Experience testing native Android and iOS apps.
Ability to write clear, structured test cases and bug reports.
Strong attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.
Good to Have
Experience with load/performance testing tools — JMeter, k6, Locust, or similar.
Familiarity with automation frameworks (Appium, Maestro, Selenium) and basic scripting (JavaScript, Python, or Java).
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Firebase.
Experience testing real-time or data-driven applications — sports platforms, live score apps, or media websites.
