Position: Senior QA Engineer
Type: Contractor
Compensation: $10–$12/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 40 hours/week (8 hours/day) with 4 hours overlap with PST
Role Responsibilities
- Design and execute test strategies for Reinforcement Learning (RL) environments and pipelines
- Validate reward logic, state transitions, and environment behavior
- Build and maintain automated test frameworks using Python
- Ensure reproducibility and data integrity of experiments
- Perform API, integration, and performance testing
- Collaborate with ML and engineering teams to identify edge cases and improve system quality
Requirements
- 5+ years of full-time experience in Quality Assurance
- Strong Python coding skills with test automation experience (PyTest or similar)
- Solid understanding of QA methodologies, debugging, and testing frameworks
- Basic understanding of Reinforcement Learning concepts
- Experience with APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and distributed systems
- Experience working on ML/AI-based projects
- Strong experience in test automation and SQL
- Backend QA experience (API testing, services, data validation)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
