QA Automation Engineer / SDET - Lead / Senior

Role Overview
We are looking for automation-focused QA engineers who can establish strong quality engineering practices for enterprise web applications. The role requires hands-on UI/API automation, integration testing, CI/CD integration, data validation, defect analysis, and release-readiness ownership.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute automation-first test strategies covering UI, API, integration, regression, and end-to-end scenarios.
- Translate requirements and acceptance criteria into comprehensive test scenarios and automated test suites.
- Build and maintain automation frameworks using Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or comparable tools.
- Automate API testing using Postman/Newman, REST-assured, or equivalent frameworks.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and establish quality gates for releases.
- Perform database/data validation, negative testing, cross-browser testing, and integration validation.
- Support performance, reliability, and security-focused testing in partnership with engineering and cloud teams.
- Use AI-assisted test-generation and analysis tools where they improve coverage and productivity.
Required Experience & Skills
- Lead: 7-10+ years in software quality engineering; Senior: 4-6+ years.
- Strong hands-on experience with UI automation using Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or equivalent.
- Strong experience testing REST APIs, backend integrations, and database-driven applications.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, and negative testing strategies.
- Experience with SQL/data validation, defect triage, root-cause collaboration, and release-quality reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, k6, Gatling, or equivalent.
- Experience testing cloud-hosted, microservice, or event-driven applications.
- Experience with AI-assisted testing tools and test-data generation is a plus.
