Job Description – QA Automation Engineer (Playwright + Java + AI Tools)
Location: Hyderabad (Work from Office Preferred)
Experience: 8 – 11 Years
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Playwright, Core Java, and Database/SQL testing. The ideal candidate should also have exposure to modern AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, Codex, or Agentic AI platforms to enhance testing productivity and automation efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright and Core Java
- Create and execute automated test scripts for web applications and APIs
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product teams to understand requirements and ensure quality delivery
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and track issues through closure
- Work with databases and write SQL queries for backend validation and data verification
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines
- Utilize AI-powered development/testing tools like Copilot, Claude, Codex, or Agentic AI solutions to improve productivity and automation coverage
- Participate in code reviews, test planning, and QA process improvements

Required Qualifications
- 8–11 years of experience in QA Automation Testing
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright automation framework
- Good understanding of Core Java concepts and automation design patterns
- Experience with SQL queries and database validation
- Exposure to API testing tools such as Postman or Rest Assured
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Experience working with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
Preferred Skills
- Experience in performance or security testing
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
- Understanding of AI-assisted testing and automation workflows
- Knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes is an added advantage
