Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled
Product Quality Engineer I (PQE I) with hands-on experience in
QA Automation using Selenium and Playwright with Java/Python. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining automated test scripts, executing functional and regression testing, and contributing to automation framework development.
The role requires a good understanding of web application testing, API testing, CI/CD practices, and Agile methodologies, along with strong programming fundamentals and a quality-focused mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium and Playwright
- Contribute to automation frameworks using Java or Python
- Create reusable and maintainable automation scripts for Web applications
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing
- Develop and execute basic API automation tests using tools such as RestAssured / PyTest
- Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps
- Perform root cause analysis of test failures and collaborate with developers for resolution
- Execute automated test suites and analyze test results
- Participate in CI/CD automation and integrate test execution into pipelines
- Work closely with developers, product teams, and senior QA engineers to understand requirements and testing needs
- Participate in sprint planning, grooming, daily stand-ups, and release validation activities
- Contribute to improving test coverage, automation stability, and overall product quality
Technical Skills Required
Mandatory Skills
- 2–4 years of experience in QA Automation / SDET / Software Testing
- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver
- Hands-on experience with Playwright
- Proficiency in Java or Python
- Strong understanding of OOPS concepts
- Basic to intermediate experience in API testing/automation
- Understanding of REST APIs and HTTP methods
- Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps
- Good understanding of SQL and database validation
- Good understanding of functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Good understanding of software testing lifecycle and defect management
Good to Have
- Exposure to Docker/Kubernetes
- Exposure to performance testing tools such as JMeter / Gatling
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS/Azure/GCP
- Basic understanding of security testing
- Exposure to Git and version control practices
