Role Description
We're hiring our first dedicated QA Automation Engineer, someone who believes Rome can be built in a day.
This is not a normal QA role. We ship daily. We use AI as our multiplier. We need someone who can match that pace, own product quality end-to-end, and grow into our QA Lead within 12 months.

What You'll Do
- Design and build end-to-end automation for our web application (Playwright) and APIs (Postman, Pytest, REST Assured)
- Own the quality gate in our CI/CD pipeline (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI)
- Ship new automated tests every single day
- Convert manual test cases into automation within days of writing them
- Keep flaky tests near zero through root-cause investigation
- Use AI tools (Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) daily to 5–10x your output
- Perform exploratory, regression, and edge-case testing on every release
- File crisp, well-documented bugs with clear repro steps
- Coach engineers on testable code and writing their own unit tests
- Be the loudest advocate for quality in every standup and PR review
Must-Have Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in QA / Test Automation
- Hands-on experience with Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium
- Strong API testing background (Postman, Pytest, or REST Assured)
- Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript or Python
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Comfortable with Git, Docker, and the command line
- Daily user of AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code, or GitHub Copilot); must show real examples in the interview
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ship-daily environment
- Excellent written English; your bug reports must be crisp
- Believes in shipping fast and automating relentlessly
Nice to Have
- Experience setting up a QA function from scratch
- Performance testing (k6, JMeter, Locust)
- Security testing basics (OWASP, ZAP)
- SaaS / B2B product background
- Open source contributions to testing tools
