Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimise applications using Python, leveraging advanced data structures, multi-threading, object-oriented programming, and design patterns.
- Implement and manage cloud-based solutions on AWS, including S3, EC2, Kinesis Streams, Athena, QuickSight, Lambda (Python), API Gateway, and IAM.
- Design, implement, and maintain MS SQL Server databases for various enterprise applications.
- Develop and optimise stored procedures, functions, and triggers to enhance application performance.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with industry standards.
- Perform regular database monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting to resolve issues proactively.
- Collaborate with developers and business analysts to translate business requirements into effective database solutions.
- Support data migration, backup, and recovery processes as per organisational policies.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for database architecture and processes.
Required Skills
- Python, AWS, Azure Databricks, MS SQL Server
- Extensive experience with MS SQL Server (design, development, optimisation).
- Strong understanding of database structures, indexing, partitioning, and query optimisation.
- Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and integrating databases with application layers.
- Experience in data modelling and database schema design.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
