Job Title: Python Kafka Engineer / Data Streaming Engineer

Experience: 8–10 Years

Location: Chennai

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Python + Kafka Engineer with strong experience in building scalable, real-time data streaming solutions. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in Apache Kafka and Python, with a solid understanding of distributed systems and data pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain real-time data streaming pipelines using Apache Kafka
• Develop backend services and data processing applications using Python
• Implement Kafka producers, consumers, and stream processing applications
• Work on event-driven architecture and microservices-based systems
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of data pipelines
• Monitor and troubleshoot Kafka clusters and applications
• Integrate Kafka with external systems and APIs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (data engineers, DevOps, backend teams)

Required Skills (Must-Have)

• Strong experience in Python development
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka
• Experience in building real-time / streaming data pipelines
• Knowledge of distributed systems and event-driven architecture
• Experience with Kafka Streams / Kafka Connect
• Familiarity with REST APIs and microservices architecture
• Good understanding of data structures and system design

Good to Have

• Experience with Spark Streaming / Flink
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
• Knowledge of Docker / Kubernetes
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra)

Education

• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
