Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python
- Build and manage high-performance data-driven solutions using SQL databases
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services
- Analyze requirements and translate them into technical solutions aligned with business needs
- Optimize application performance, database queries, and system efficiency
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams to deliver high-quality software solutions
- Document development work and provide updates to stakeholders
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Information Science / Electronics / related fields
Experience
- Overall 5+ years of software development experience
- Minimum 5+ years of strong hands-on experience in Python and SQL (mandatory)
- Experience in backend or product development environments
- Exposure to working with global teams and stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and deliver within timelines
Skill Set
Mandatory Skills
- Expert-level proficiency in Python (mandatory – 5+ years)
- Strong experience in SQL (mandatory – 5+ years) – MySQL/PostgreSQL or similar
- Strong experience in backend development and API development (REST)
- Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, and backend architecture
- Experience in performance optimization and handling large datasets
- Proficiency in Git or other version control systems
Good to Have (Optional)
- Frontend development experience (JavaScript, Angular, Vue.js)
- Experience working in Linux/Unix environments
- Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
- Knowledge of other programming languages (Java, C#, PHP)
- Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
Additional Requirements
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Good communication and collaboration abilities
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, distributed team environment
