Role OverviewTurkStart is seeking a competent and delivery-oriented Python Developer to support the ongoing development and optimization of its digital platform and internal systems. This role is positioned within a fast-evolving media and business ecosystem, requiring strong technical execution combined with a practical understanding of scalable web architectures.
The candidate will play a key role in backend development, system integrations, and performance optimization, ensuring that TurkStart’s platform operates with reliability, efficiency, and scalability as the business expands.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, test, and maintain backend services using Python
- Build and manage APIs to support web and mobile functionalities
- Integrate third-party services, plugins, and data sources into the platform
- Optimize database structures and ensure efficient data handling
- Collaborate with frontend developers, designers, and content teams to deliver seamless functionality
- Maintain code quality, version control, and documentation standards
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems
- Support implementation of automation tools and internal workflows
- Ensure platform security, data protection, and performance stability
Required Skills and Qualifications- Strong proficiency in Python programming
- Experience with frameworks such as Django or Flask
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
- Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB
- Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Google Cloud, or similar)
- Understanding of version control systems, preferably Git
- Basic knowledge of frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment with structured reporting
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with WordPress integrations and headless CMS architecture
- Exposure to AI tools, automation, or data processing workflows
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and deployment pipelines
- Prior experience working with media platforms, marketplaces, or content-driven websites
