Job Summary

Shriram General Insurance is looking for a skilled Python Developer to build and maintain scalable backend systems and applications. The role involves developing efficient services, integrating APIs, and ensuring high performance and reliability of applications supporting business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain backend applications using Python.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and external systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver new features and enhancements.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices.
• Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in existing systems.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving development standards.
• Ensure data integrity and security in all developed solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in Python programming.
• Experience with frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Familiarity with RESTful API development and microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar systems.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle and best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker.
• Knowledge of data processing, automation, or scripting workflows.
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
