Job Summary
Shriram General Insurance is seeking a proficient Python Developer to build and maintain scalable backend systems and applications that power the company’s digital platforms. The role involves developing robust APIs, optimizing system performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and secure solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain backend applications and services using Python.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs for seamless integration with frontend and third-party systems.
- Collaborate with product managers, analysts, and developers to define and deliver new features.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices.
- Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues in existing systems.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving development processes.
- Ensure data security, integrity, and compliance in all developed solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Python programming and backend development.
- Experience with frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
- Knowledge of databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar systems.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle and best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker.
- Knowledge of data processing, scripting, or automation workflows.
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
