Role Description The Python Developer will work on designing, building, and maintaining back-end services and APIs that power Headstart’s education platform. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean, efficient, and well-documented Python code, implementing object-oriented designs, integrating with databases, and collaborating with front-end and product teams to deliver scalable features. The role also involves participating in code reviews, troubleshooting production issues, optimizing performance, and contributing to software architecture decisions. This is a full-time hybrid role, based in Noida, with a mix of on-site collaboration and some work-from-home flexibility.
Qualifications
- Strong programming skills in Python, with a solid foundation in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and general Programming concepts.
- Experience in Back-End Web Development using Python frameworks (such as Django or FastAPI) and building RESTful APIs.
- Hands-on experience with Databases (relational and/or NoSQL), including schema design, query optimization, and integration with back-end services.
- Background in Software Development practices, including version control (Git), testing, debugging, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD).
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, with attention to performance, security, and scalability.
- Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid environment, and openness to learning new tools and technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in edtech or building platforms for education institutions is a plus, along with familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).
