About The Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Developer with a strong background in risk management systems to join our dynamic technology team at Luxoft. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on sophisticated risk platforms that are integral to financial institutions’ decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will bring extensive hands-on development experience in front-office risk, market risk, or credit risk systems, with a deep technical proficiency in Python, MongoDB, SQL Server, and real-time messaging platforms such as Kafka or IBM MQ. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance risk management applications that support critical business functions, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and compliant with industry standards.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a developer within financial services, particularly in front-office risk, credit risk, or market risk technology teams. A strong programming background in Python and expertise in database development using MongoDB and SQL Server are essential. Candidates should have a solid understanding of risk data models, including VaR, PFE, credit exposure, and market risk sensitivities. Familiarity with real-time messaging platforms such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or IBM MQ is required. Additionally, experience working with risk analytics libraries, pricing models, or integrating with vendor risk engines like Murex, Calypso, or proprietary systems is highly desirable. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field is mandatory, with an advanced degree considered a plus. Candidates should also have experience working within agile development environments, utilizing source control tools like Git, and participating in automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance high-performance risk management applications using Python and C++ to meet evolving business requirements.
- Collaborate closely with risk managers, quantitative analysts, and front office stakeholders to translate complex requirements into effective technical solutions.
- Implement and support risk analytics engines, including scenario analysis, stress testing, and real-time market data ingestion to facilitate accurate risk assessments.
- Develop microservices and APIs using Python, ensuring seamless integration with MongoDB and SQL Server backends for data storage and retrieval.
- Ensure the high reliability and performance of risk systems by integrating robust messaging architectures utilizing Kafka or IBM MQ for real-time data processing.
- Participate actively in DevOps practices, including testing, deployment automation, system monitoring, and troubleshooting to maintain optimal system performance.
- Troubleshoot production issues, optimize system performance, and ensure compliance with regulatory and security standards to uphold system integrity and data security.
