About The Role
We are seeking a passionate and talented Python Backend Developer with a focus on Generative AI (GenAI) to join our expanding tech team in Bengaluru. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance backend systems that power AI-enabled applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including AI researchers, product managers, and frontend developers to create scalable, secure, and efficient web platforms. Your expertise will help implement AI features such as chatbots utilizing large language models (LLMs), retrieval-augmented generation pipelines, and vector databases. Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a strong foundation in Python programming and data structures, with a good understanding of object-oriented programming principles. Knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL, as well as NoSQL options like MongoDB, is required. Familiarity with AI APIs, prompt engineering, and basic understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs) will be advantageous. Candidates should also have exposure to Docker and Git workflows, excellent communication skills, and a startup mindset that emphasizes quick learning and adaptability. A basic understanding of cloud services like AWS or GCP, and experience with embeddings and vector databases such as Pinecone or pgvector, will be considered a plus.
Responsibilities
As a Python Backend Developer in our team, your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining backend systems using frameworks like Django, FastAPI, or Flask. You will build scalable REST APIs and manage secure CRUD operations to support AI-powered features. Your role will involve designing and managing both SQL and NoSQL databases to ensure data integrity and performance. You will work on integrating AI models, particularly LLMs, to develop chatbots, virtual assistants, and other AI-driven functionalities. Implementing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines and managing vector databases will be part of your core tasks. Additionally, you will write clean, maintainable, and production-ready code, participate in testing, debugging, and optimizing system performance. Collaboration with product, AI, and frontend teams will be vital to deliver seamless solutions. You will also work with Docker containers and Linux environments to streamline deployment processes and ensure system reliability.
