About The Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Developer with a strong background in risk management systems to join our dynamic technology team at Luxoft India. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex, high-performance risk platforms that are critical to our financial clients' operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining core risk management applications, ensuring they meet the highest standards of reliability, performance, and compliance. You will collaborate closely with risk managers, quantitative analysts, and front office stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. This position requires a deep technical proficiency in Python, MongoDB, SQL Server, and real-time messaging platforms such as Kafka and IBM MQ, along with a strong understanding of financial risk models and analytics.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of experience as a developer within financial services, particularly in front office risk, credit risk, or market risk technology teams. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field is required, with an advanced degree considered a plus. Candidates should demonstrate strong programming skills in Python and experience with database development using MongoDB and SQL Server. A solid understanding of risk data models, including VaR, PFE, credit exposure, and market risk sensitivities, is essential. Familiarity with real-time messaging platforms such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or IBM MQ is also required. Additionally, candidates should have experience working within agile development environments, utilizing source control tools like Git, and participating in CI/CD pipelines. Excellent communication skills in English (C1 Advanced level) are necessary to effectively collaborate with global teams and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance high-performance risk management applications using Python and C++ to support front-office risk, market risk, and credit risk functions.
- Collaborate with risk managers, quantitative analysts, and front office stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Implement and support risk analytics engines, including scenario analysis, stress testing, and real-time market data ingestion, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Develop microservices and APIs using Python, integrating seamlessly with MongoDB and SQL Server backends to enable scalable and modular systems.
- Ensure the high reliability and performance of risk systems by designing and integrating robust messaging architectures utilizing Kafka or IBM MQ.
- Participate actively in DevOps practices, including testing, deployment automation, and continuous monitoring to maintain system stability and security.
- Troubleshoot production issues promptly, optimize system performance, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as Basel III, FRTB, or CCAR.
