Job Description
Emireq is looking for a skilled Python Developer to join our team on a part-time remote basis. The developer will be responsible for building and maintaining scalable backend systems, APIs, and core services that power the Emireq platform.
This role requires someone who can work independently, write clean and efficient code, and take ownership of development tasks in a remote-first environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain Python-based backend applications
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs for platform services
- Work with SQL and NoSQL databases and optimize database performance
- Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and compliance systems
- Write secure, scalable, and well-documented code
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical and production issues
- Collaborate remotely with product, design, and business teams
- Participate in code reviews and maintain best engineering practices
- Ensure system security, reliability, and scalability
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in Python development
- Strong experience with Django / Flask / FastAPI
- Solid understanding of REST API development
- Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB
- Familiarity with Git and version control systems
- Comfortable working in Linux-based environments
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote setup
Preferred (Nice to Have)
- Experience with Docker or containerization
- Knowledge of Celery, Redis, and background job processing
- Exposure to fintech, compliance systems, or SaaS platforms
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure)
