About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Python Backend Developer with strong Elasticsearch expertise to build scalable data pipelines and high-performance search solutions.
This role involves working on large-scale consumer analytics systems in the Pharma domain, where you’ll handle data ingestion, processing, and search optimization.
What You’ll Do
- Build backend services using Python for data ingestion and processing
- Design and manage Elasticsearch indices, queries, and clusters
- Optimize search performance (relevance, speed, scalability)
- Develop and maintain REST APIs (FastAPI/Flask)
- Work on data pipelines (ETL) for large datasets
- Integrate systems across enterprise platforms
- Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for delivery and support
Must-Have Skills
- Strong experience in Python (Pandas, FastAPI or Flask)
- Hands-on expertise in Elasticsearch (indexing, Query DSL, tuning)
- Experience building REST APIs & microservices
- Solid understanding of data structures & backend performance
- Experience with ETL / data pipelines
- Comfortable working in Linux environments
Good to Have
- Cloud experience (AWS / Azure)
- Containerization (Docker / Kubernetes)
- Streaming tools (Kafka)
- CI/CD and DevOps exposure
- Experience with observability / log analytics tools
Ideal Candidate
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Experience working with large-scale data systems
- Ability to optimize performance and scalability
- Prior exposure to analytics or Pharma domain is a plus
