Job Description – Python BDD Test Automation Engineer

Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Python BDD Test Automation Engineer with 4+ years of experience in automation testing and framework development. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Python, BDD frameworks, API/UI automation, and CI/CD practices.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Python.
Create and execute automated test scripts using BDD frameworks such as Behave or Pytest-BDD.
Perform UI and API automation testing.
Develop reusable automation utilities and libraries.
Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines.
Analyze test results, debug issues, and provide detailed reports.
Collaborate with developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure quality delivery.
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and testing activities throughout the SDLC.
Required Skills
4+ years of experience in Test Automation.
Strong hands-on experience in Python programming.
Experience with BDD frameworks like Behave, Pytest-BDD, or Cucumber.
Expertise in Selenium WebDriver for UI automation.
Experience in API automation using tools/frameworks such as Requests, Postman, or RestAssured equivalent in Python.
Good understanding of PyTest/unittest frameworks.
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
Strong knowledge of version control tools like Git.
Experience working in Agile methodology.
Good debugging and analytical skills.
