About The Role
CoreTek Labs is seeking an experienced Python AI Engineer specializing in Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines and autonomous agents. This full-time role offers the flexibility of a hybrid or remote work environment. As a key member of our AI engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying advanced AI systems that leverage large language models (LLMs) and generative AI techniques. Your work will directly impact innovative projects involving multi-agent systems, scalable AI architectures, and enterprise-grade AI solutions.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in AI and software engineering, with specific expertise in the following areas:
- Proven experience in building and deploying LLM generative AI or agentic AI systems.
- Proficiency in Python, including async programming, API development, microservices architecture, and distributed systems.
- Hands-on experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and OpenShift/Kubernetes for scalable AI deployments.
- Deep understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, embeddings, vector search, and orchestration of LLMs.
- Familiarity with tools such as Jupyter Notebooks, Tachyon, GitHub Copilot, and modern DevSecOps workflows including CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with enterprise observability tools like Grafana, Cloud Logging, and Prometheus.
- Knowledge of LangChain, LlamaIndex, and APIs for models such as OpenAI, Google Gemini, or similar platforms.
- Strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently, and a passion for AI innovation.
Responsibilities
As a Python AI Engineer at CoreTek Labs, your responsibilities will include:
- Designing and optimizing autonomous agents, multi-agent systems, and workflows using generative AI techniques.
- Developing Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers and structured context management frameworks to enhance AI system performance.
- Architecting scalable RAG pipelines encompassing embeddings, vector search, retrieval layers, grounding strategies, and prompt engineering.
- Implementing LLM function calling, multi-step orchestration, guardrails, and evaluation frameworks to ensure safety and quality.
- Building high-performance Python microservices and AI APIs utilizing frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, and SDKs like MCP.
- Engineering distributed AI systems for large-scale inference, retrieval, and multi-agent orchestration.
- Experimenting with models and refining AI solutions using tools like Jupyter Notebooks, Tachyon, and enterprise GenAI platforms.
- Leveraging GitHub Copilot and modern DevSecOps practices to accelerate development cycles and ensure code quality.
- Deploying and operating AI solutions on cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform, containerizing services with Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes.
- Building secure, scalable retrieval layers using vector databases like Pinecone, Redis, MongoDB Atlas Vector Search, and pgVector.
- Participating in architecture reviews, contributing to AI governance frameworks, and ensuring compliance with security and regulatory standards.
- Leading proof-of-concept initiatives, engineering improvements, and innovation workstreams with minimal oversight.
