Skill: Data Engineer - Python + SQL Github/Copilot

Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer with strong expertise in Python and SQL to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have experience working with Git-based repositories, GitHub/Copilot, REST APIs, and cloud platforms (Azure or GCP). The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to support data-driven decision making and analytics initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python and SQL.
- Work with large datasets to ensure data quality, reliability, and performance.
- Integrate data from multiple sources and REST APIs into centralized data platforms.
- Use Git/GitHub for version control, code collaboration, and CI/CD processes.
- Leverage GitHub Copilot or similar AI tools to improve development efficiency and code quality.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and data transformations.
- Deploy and manage data solutions on cloud platforms such as Azure or GCP.
- Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and engineering teams to support analytics and reporting requirements.
- Troubleshoot and optimize data workflows, pipelines, and performance issues.
- Follow best practices for data security, governance, and documentation.
Required Skills
- Strong programming experience in Python and SQL.
- Hands-on experience with Git and GitHub for version control.
- Experience using GitHub Copilot or similar AI coding assistants.
- Knowledge of REST API integration and data ingestion.
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure or GCP).
- Understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data pipeline architecture.
Good to Have
- Experience with data warehousing or big data tools.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation.
- Familiarity with data orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect, etc.).
