Role Description The Spanish Teacher will design and deliver engaging Spanish language lessons that align with the IB philosophy and school curriculum. This full-time, on-site role in Hyderabad involves planning units of inquiry, preparing instructional materials, and using varied teaching methods to develop students’ language proficiency and cultural awareness. The teacher will assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate academic records. Responsibilities also include collaborating with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects, participating in school events, and contributing to a positive, inclusive learning environment. The role requires ongoing reflection on teaching practices and active participation in professional development to support continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Strong Spanish language proficiency (spoken and written), with the ability to teach reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills.
- Demonstrated classroom management, lesson planning, and instructional design skills suited to diverse learners.
- Experience with student assessment, feedback, and documentation of academic progress.
- Ability to integrate IB principles, inquiry-based learning, and global perspectives into language teaching.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Education, Linguistics, or a related field; teaching certification or IB experience is an advantage.
- Prior experience teaching Spanish in school settings, preferably international or IB schools.
- Commitment to creating inclusive, safe learning spaces and supporting the holistic development of students.
