Position: PYP Teacher for Grades 1-5

We seek an experienced educator with high expectations, innovation, and creativity. The ideal candidate will:

1. Have a B.A. or M.A. in Hindi Language Learning or Hindi Literature.
2. Have a B.Ed/ PGCE/ PGDE or equivalent in Primary teaching
3. Experience in a co-education, primary school setting.
4. Outstanding knowledge of Indian Literatures and Indian History.
5. Excellent communication skills with C1 level competency in spoken and written Hindi
6. Commit to the school’s vision and educational philosophy.
7. Embrace a high-quality pastoral care environment with a focus on children’s health and emotional safety.
8. Actively participate in co-curricular and enrichment activities.
9. Contribute to a localized PYP curriculum, reflecting the Indian/ Rajasthani context.
10. Implement inquiry-based teaching, differentiating activities for diverse student needs.
11. Authentically assess, record, and track student progress.
12. Support holistic child development.
13. Prioritize student agency and self-efficacy through modeling.
14. Be enthusiastic about professional development activities and innovation/design led special programs.

Preferred Attributes:

• Minimum 3-5 years of primary education experience.
• At least a B2 level competency in written and spoken English.
• Ability to fluently translate from Hindi to English and vice versa.
• Proven effectiveness in collaborative work.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate sports and physical education into the school's broader educational strategy.

Valued Additional Assets:

• A B2 or C1 level proficiency in reading and writing in Sanskrit with prior experience of teaching Sanskrit at primary school,
• Proficiency in Hindi typing, IT Skills, learning apps and digital tracking of student skills.
• Prior experience of training students for certification in performance and/or advocacy.
• Skills to collaborate with parents, students, and community stakeholders to initiate service-based advocacy projects.
