Job Description & Summary:

Seeking a highly skilled Techno-Functional Lead to serve as the bridge between legacy IFS environment and new SAP S/4HANA digital core. Who will be the primary technical architect for the IFS data extraction workstream, responsible for translating legacy business logic into optimized SAP-ready data.

This role requires a rare blend of deep IFS functional & technical proficiency (PL/SQL/Oracle), ensuring that data is not just moved, but cleansed, validated, and aligned with global best practices.

Responsibilities:

1. Data Migration Leadership & Strategy

  • Workstream Ownership: Manage the end-to-end business data migration lifecycle, from initial extraction in IFS to providing a validated load file for the SAP team.

  • Stakeholder Coordination: Identify and manage Data Owners and Reconcilers across functional units (Finance, SCM, Manufacturing) ensure they understand their roles in the validation process.

  • Gap & Dependency Analysis: Map dependencies between data objects (e.g., ensuring Vendor migration precedes Purchase Order migration) and lead deep-dive sessions to resolve mapping conflicts.

  • Governance: Ensure all data migration activities comply with regulatory, security, and audit requirements. Manage the sign-off of Data Object Migration Specifications documents for all stndard & custom objects.

2. Technical Execution (IFS & Extraction)

  • Legacy Extraction: Write and optimize complex SQL/PL-SQL queries to extract master and transactional data from IFS Oracle back-end tables.

  • Logic Translation: Document and reimagine complex custom logic, events, and IFS Lobbies that need to be transitioned or retired in the SAP environment.

  • ETL Management: Oversee the Extraction, Transformation, and Validation (ETL) of data objects, ensuring zero loss of integrity during the move from Oracle to the SAP HANA in-memory database.

3. Functional Alignment & Testing

  • Data Cleansing: Partner with business stakeholders to identify issues in legacy data and drive cleansing activities to prevent migrating technical debt.

  • UAT Support: Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), assisting users in reconciling IFS legacy data.

  • Documentation: Maintain a rigorous Data Object Register and detailed mapping logic for future reference.

Mandatory skill sets:

 Required Qualifications

Technical Requirements

  • IFS Expertise: 6+ years of experience with IFS (Apps 9, 10, or Cloud). Expert-level knowledge of IFS Solution Manager and underlying Oracle table structures.

  • SQL Mastery: Advanced proficiency in SQL and PL-SQL is mandatory for high-volume data extraction.

  • Data Migration Background: Proven track record of leading at least one major ERP migration project (ideally IFS to SAP).

  • Tooling: Familiarity with ETL tools and data validation frameworks. (Experience with Syniti, SAP Migration Cockpit/LTMC is a major plus, though the primary focus is the IFS side).

Soft Skills & Leadership

  • Change Management: Ability to coach legacy users through the transition from IFS Aurena/IEE interfaces.

  • Analytical Mindset: A "quality-first" approach—the ability to identify data anomalies before they impact the target system.

  • Project Management: Proven ability to manage risks, identify constraints, and hit milestones in a fast-paced.

Preferred skill sets:
