Duties and Responsibilities
Equipment & Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing normal servicing, minor repairs, and normal preventive maintenance to equipment in the Shop.
Specific responsibilities May include:
• Inspect the facility, as needed.
• Inspection all equipment.
• Detect any defects or malfunctions and immediately repair and refurbish, as required.
• Coordinate with Production and other departments for feedback on the functionality of machinery and equipment.
• Report all defects and damages to the supervisor.
• Comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Interpret electrical schematics and flow charts.
• Ensure compliance of all Company policies and OSHA rules while conducting work functions.
• Place orders through procurement for spare parts and replacement parts, and complete all required documentation.
• Be on-call, as requested.
• Troubleshoot and repair of a wide variety of electrical and electronic systems, include: motor control systems, contractors, starters, AC/DC drives and motors, various control switches and proximity sensors utilized on production machinery.
• Support and participate in the organization's Continual Improvement Program to conform to ISO 9001:2015 requirements by complying with the Quality Policy and procedures and meeting QMS objectives.
• Other duties as assigned.
Education and Training
• Highschool diploma or GED.
Experience
• Mechanical and electrical experience.
Knowledge and Skills
• Attention to detaiI.
• Produces error-free work.
• Deadline-oriented.
• Ability to prioritize customer's requests.
• Self-starter who thinks of innovative, faster ways to accomplish tasks.
• Works with minimal supervision.
• Flexible and able to adapt to the Company's dynamic environment. Able to work well in a team environment.
• Must be familiar with safety standards and procedures inherent to a manufacturing facility.
• Must have working knowledge of single-phase and 3-phase power and control systems up to 600 volts or higher.
• Able to run 2" conduit.
• Must be proficient in the use of a variety of test equipment, such as digital multi-meters and ammeters.
• Must possess excellent written and verbal communications kills.
• Ability to effectively manage time to meet all specified dates.
• Able to coordinate work tasks with employees.
• Must possess own transportation for picking-up parts.
Physical and Safety Requirements
• Sitting, bending, standing, walking, 8-10 hours per day.
• Able to lift 25 lbs.
• Must comply with any safety or PPE requirements.
• Exposure to production environment.
