Job Title: University Residences Student Office Coordinator (SOC) - Fall 2025 - Student Clerical Job Summary Remuneration: $10.00/hour Hours/Week • Hours/Week Weekly average, must be available to work a minimum of 10 hours per week. Includes days, weekends, evenings, over nights, and holidays. Must be able to return to campus August 11, 2025 and January 7, 2026 to attend required training and stay through Senior Week (the week following finals) in May Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent and minimum of one semester of college coursework successfully completed • Must be actively enrolled at Purdue University. • Previous work experience within University Residences, preferred. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written • Flexible and dependable with a strong attention to detail • Ability to multi-task and work within deadlines • Ability to work independently and with a team • Be timely and organized • Previous supervisory/leadership experience preferred • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Position Responsibilities • Prepare, post, and maintain student office schedules as directed by supervising clerk • Assist with training of student office staff • Provide coverage at resident hall main offices working scheduled hours that will include days, evenings, overnights, weekends, holidays and/or University breaks. • Fulfill on-call responsibilities as part of a scheduled rotation • Coach, counsel, and discipline student employees as needed • Enforce all established office procedures • Complete and submit maintenance requests online • Must attend all scheduled staff meetings to gain and/or share pertinent information • Maintain confidentiality and exhibit professional conduct when handling sensitive information • Respond to emergencies according to established procedures • Report violations of University and/or University Residences policy • Maintain competency in the operation, including proper check-in/check-out procedures for residents and checking out equipment, as appropriate • Exercise accountability for the proper handling and security of all issued keys, safe access, as well as hall property, i.e. hall equipment • Other duties as assigned
