Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Purchasing Officer, located in Ahmedabad. The Purchasing Officer will be responsible for managing the procurement process, including preparing and reviewing purchase orders, coordinating purchase requisitions, and maintaining vendor relationships. The role also involves negotiating contracts, monitoring market trends, and ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality in all purchasing decisions. Close collaboration with internal teams and vendors to fulfill operational needs efficiently is a key aspect of this position.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of purchasing processes, including purchase orders and purchase requisitions
- Proficiency in contract negotiation and establishing long-term vendor partnerships
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate suppliers, pricing, and market trends
- Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage procurement documentation
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for vendor and stakeholder collaboration
- Prior experience in the healthcare or related industries is an advantage
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred
