Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Purchasing Officer based in Surat, with flexibility for partial remote work. The Purchasing Officer will be responsible for managing procurement processes, preparing and maintaining purchase orders and requisitions, and conducting contract negotiations with suppliers. The individual will also evaluate and analyze purchasing data and reports to ensure cost efficiency, maintain relationships with vendors, and ensure that the organization's purchasing requirements are met effectively.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge and experience in Purchasing Processes, Purchase Orders, and Purchase Requisitions
- Proficiency in Contract Negotiation and supplier relationship management
- Excellent Analytical Skills to evaluate data, identify trends, and drive cost-efficient purchasing decisions
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Prior experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in the construction or infrastructure sectors, is beneficial
- Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement software is an advantage
