Job Title: Purchase Manager
Experience: 7 -10 years
Location: Bhopal
Industry: Ethanol Manufacturing / Distillery
Job Summary:
The Purchase Manager is responsible for managing procurement activities related to spare parts, electrical items, and chemicals required for ethanol manufacturing operations. The role ensures timely availability of quality materials at competitive prices while maintaining strong vendor relationships and compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle end-to-end purchasing of:
- Plant spare parts (mechanical, instrumentation, etc.)
- Electrical items (motors, cables, panels, etc.)
- Chemicals used in ethanol production
Ensure uninterrupted supply of materials for smooth plant operations.
Prepare and process purchase orders.
Vendor identification, negotiation, and management
Ensure timely delivery to avoid plant downtime
Coordinate with store and production teams to maintain optimal inventory levels.
Maintain procurement records and ensure compliance
Requirements:
7 –10 years of procurement experience in distillery/chemical industry
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
Knowledge of industrial spare parts, electrical equipment, and chemicals
Good communication and coordination skills
Knowledge of ERP/SAP and MS Office
