Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Purchase Manager with strong knowledge of import procurement and vendor management. The candidate will be responsible for sourcing materials, handling international purchases, coordinating import documentation, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of goods.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage domestic and international procurement activities
- Handle import purchasing procedures and documentation
- Coordinate with overseas suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs agents
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with vendors
- Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs)
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely material availability
- Track shipments and ensure smooth customs clearance
- Maintain records related to imports, invoices, LC, BOE, and shipping documents
- Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships
- Ensure compliance with company policies and import regulations
- Coordinate with accounts, stores, and production departments
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of import/export procedures
- Experience in international sourcing and procurement
- Understanding of customs documentation and logistics
- Good negotiation and communication skills
- Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office
- Ability to manage multiple vendors and shipments
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree BE MECH, Supply Chain, or related field
- Hands on Import-Procurement
Preferred Experience
- Experience in manufacturing / engineering / industrial procurement
- Knowledge of INCOTERMS, LC, freight handling, and customs processes
