Job Title: Purchase Manager

Qualification: BE Mechanical / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Purchase Manager to oversee procurement operations, vendor management, and cost optimization initiatives. The role involves ensuring timely sourcing of materials and services while maintaining quality, budget compliance, and strong vendor relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Sourcing
Float enquiries in a timely manner against approved Purchase Requisitions (PRs)
Identify and evaluate vendors for sourcing materials and services
Develop and maintain a strong vendor base through continuous vendor development
Vendor Management
Prequalify suppliers and contractors and update the approved vendor list
Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors for long-term collaboration
Monitor vendor performance in terms of quality, cost, and delivery timelines
Purchase Operations
Prepare daily Comparative Statements (CS) for effective decision-making
Ensure timely release of Purchase Orders (POs) with clearly defined delivery schedules
Track and monitor project-wise procurement status through supply tracking sheets
Cost Management & Budget Control
Ensure procurement within approved budgets with a focus on achieving cost savings (target: up to 10% below budget)
Drive cost control, cost reduction, and value engineering initiatives
Analyze pricing trends and negotiate effectively with vendors
Material Planning & Delivery
Plan materials and services as per project requirements
Ensure 100% on-time delivery of materials and services
Prepare and maintain delivery challans for raw materials
MIS & Reporting
Skills & Competencies
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
Good understanding of mechanical materials and services
Analytical mindset with cost optimization focus
Proficiency in MS Excel and MIS reporting
