Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Purchasing Manager role based in Bengaluru. The Purchasing Manager will oversee sourcing, supplier selection, and negotiation to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials, components, and services. The role includes managing vendor relationships, monitoring supplier performance, and supporting continuous improvement in the supply base. The Purchasing Manager will collaborate closely with operations, production, finance, and logistics teams to align purchasing activities with project timelines and inventory requirements. Daily responsibilities also include maintaining accurate purchasing records, tracking key procurement metrics, ensuring compliance with company policies, and contributing to strategic cost-saving initiatives.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management within a manufacturing or technology-focused environment.
- Strong skills in supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, and vendor relationship management.
- Ability to analyze costs, review quotations, and use data-driven methods to support purchasing decisions.
- Familiarity with ERP or purchasing systems and proficiency in standard office productivity tools.
- Knowledge of inventory management practices and basic logistics and warehousing concepts.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or a related field; professional certifications in procurement or supply chain are an advantage.
- Experience working in globally oriented companies or with international suppliers is beneficial.
