Jital Solution Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Purchase Manager to lead procurement operations for our cattle feed and animal nutrition manufacturing business. The candidate will be responsible for sourcing high-quality raw materials, vendor management, cost optimization, inventory planning, and ensuring compliance with food safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage procurement of raw materials including maize, soybean meal, DORB, premixes, additives, and packaging materials
- Develop procurement strategies aligned with production planning and business requirements
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers
- Monitor commodity market trends and optimize procurement costs through strategic sourcing
- Ensure uninterrupted supply of materials while maintaining quality and compliance standards
- Evaluate and develop vendors as per FSSAI, ISO 22000, HACCP, GMP, and BIS requirements
- Coordinate with production and quality teams to maintain smooth operations
- Monitor inventory levels, FIFO implementation, storage conditions, and expiry control
- Maintain procurement documentation including PO, GRN, invoices, contracts, and traceability records
- Ensure audit readiness and compliance with company and regulatory standards
- Develop alternate supplier networks and mitigate supply chain risks
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- Knowledge of procurement in cattle feed, agro, food, or manufacturing industry
- Understanding of food safety and regulatory standards
- Strong analytical and market intelligence capabilities
- Experience with ERP/SAP procurement systems
- Proficiency in MS Excel and procurement reporting
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Food Technology, or related field
- Relevant experience in procurement/purchase within cattle feed, animal nutrition, agro-based, or food manufacturing industry
- HACCP/Food Safety awareness preferred
- ERP/SAP experience preferred
