Role Description
We are seeking a full-time Purchasing Manager to oversee our procurement operations at 1966 – The Mumbai Café in Bengaluru. In this on-site role, the Purchasing Manager will be responsible for sourcing ingredients and supplies, negotiating with vendors to secure the best pricing, managing inventory levels, and ensuring the timely delivery of quality materials. Other duties include maintaining vendor relationships, monitoring market trends, and ensuring procurement aligns with the café's operational and budgetary requirements.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in vendor management, procurement, and supply chain management
- Strong negotiation, budgeting, and cost-control skills
- Knowledge of food and restaurant industry purchasing practices
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- Proficiency in data entry, inventory tracking, and relevant software tools
- Strong interpersonal communication and teamwork skills
- Experience in F&B or retail procurement is a plus
- Ability to work on-site and manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred)
