Cart2Port Services Pvt. Ltd. - Ship Stores & Spares is a brand for Buying & Selling of Ship Supplies to end users Ship Owners, Ship Managers, Port Managers and Shipyard Owners. We are seeking an active and knowledgeable Purchase Executive. The desired candidate should have at least one year experience in a similar rank in ship owning/ship managing companies or have sailed at Junior ranks on any type of vessel on board. The candidate should show strong procurement skills with proven achievements, manage purchase budgets, and have strong verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
• Vendor Management – Identify suitable and approved vendors for sending RFQs
• Sourcing & Negotiation Skills - Ability to secure the best prices and terms from vendors for providing quotations to clients
• Cost Control and Budgeting - Managing purchase budgets and reducing procurement costs
• Inventory Management - Ensuring optimal stock levels to prevent overstocking or shortages
• Relationship Building - Building and maintaining strong relationships with reliable vendors and clients
• Communication Skills – Having strong verbal and written communication skills including presentation skills
• Attention to Detail & Accuracy - Ensuring purchase orders, invoices, and deliveries are accurate and timely by making end-to-end arrangements
• Procurement Software – Familiarity with procurement software and management systems
Qualifications
• Graduate Engineer or Diploma Holder or Science (Preferably Marine or Mechanical or Electrical)
• Marine product knowledge and at least 1 year experience in Marine industry is compulsory
• Knowledge of IMPA / ISSA catalogue
• Knowledge of Supply & Purchase Management
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Willingness, self-driven, on-field most times
