Role Overview
The Purchase Associate will be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities for construction, landscaping, hardscape, and real estate-related requirements. The role is critical in ensuring timely availability of materials and services while maintaining cost efficiency, quality standards, and seamless coordination across vendors, site teams, architects, and management.
The role will support project execution through effective vendor management, negotiation, budgeting, and procurement planning aligned with organisational and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
Purchasing & Procurement Management
- Manage end-to-end procurement of real estate, construction, infrastructure, landscaping, plantation, and facility development-related goods and services.
- Review BOQs, vendor quotations, and material specifications to ensure cost-effective and timely procurement.
- Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and service agreements with vendors and contractors.
- Raise purchase orders, track procurement schedules, and support invoice verification and contract closure processes.
- Ensure procurement activities are aligned with project budgets, timelines, and quality requirements.
Vendor, Site & Project Coordination
- Maintain continuous coordination with vendors, contractors, architects, site teams, and management for smooth project execution.
- Support execution of landscaping, plantation, hardscape, and facility development activities through effective stakeholder coordination.
- Monitor vendor deliverables, work progress, and contract compliance to ensure timely completion of assigned activities.
- Facilitate communication between procurement, project, and management teams to resolve operational and execution-related issues.
- Support closure of vendor contracts, work orders, and procurement documentation in line with organisational processes.
Key Outcomes
- Ensure timely procurement and availability of construction and project-related materials.
- Maintain procurement activities within approved project budgets wherever feasible.
- Build and maintain a reliable vendor network for construction and related services.
- Minimise procurement delays impacting project execution timelines.
- Ensure accurate documentation and tracking of procurement transactions and approvals.
Must-Have Requirements
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Civil Engineering, Commerce, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- 4–8 years of experience in procurement or purchase functions within construction or real estate industries.
- Strong understanding of BOQ specifications, construction materials, and vendor management.
- Experience in vendor negotiation, purchase order management, and contract coordination.
- Ability to manage budgets, monitor project costs, and track procurement schedules effectively.
- Strong communication and coordination skills with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Prior experience handling construction procurement activities is mandatory.
Preferred Skills
- Certification in Supply Chain Management or Procurement.
- Familiarity with procurement software, ERP systems, or inventory tracking tools.
- Strong analytical and documentation skills.
- Ability to work in fast-paced project environments with multiple stakeholders.
