Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Purchasing Assistant located in Chennai. The Purchasing Assistant will play a critical role in supporting procurement activities, which include creating and managing purchase orders, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring timely delivery of materials. The role also involves maintaining accurate purchasing records, actively monitoring inventory levels, evaluating supplier performance, and facilitating efficient communication between departments and external partners. The Purchasing Assistant will contribute to optimizing procurement processes and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Purchasing Processes and Procurement principles
- Experience with creating and managing Purchase Orders and purchasing documentation
- Strong Communication skills for vendor coordination and internal collaboration
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of relevant software tools and systems related to purchasing
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Experience in fire protection or engineering industries is an advantage
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
